The Little Beetle Book
A children's book that follows some flowers and insects as they try to help a beetle who feels unloved, This story helps kids learn empathy, self-confidence and trust.
The entire process of making this book was as eco-friendly as possible, including the initial mock-ups (which were made out of discarded junk mail,) and all of the watercolors (which were developed with vegetables and other sustainable ingredients.) I learned a lot about boiling cabbage in the process-- it can make purple, magenta, red, pink, blue, aqua and kelly green, depending on the pH.

"Dignity Always Dignity"

Published May 2019, a chapbook (a small anthology) of my best writing and graphic design throughout high school. The book features comedy, creative nonfiction, short fiction, lyric essays, absurdist poetry, a nonsensical table of contents, several ounces of pure chaos and so much more.

The Plymell Recipe Book
Originally designed as a mother's day present, this is a collection of all of my family's go-to recipes. Each recipe has been revised and added to for the past twenty years, until it was absolutely perfect. Last December, I compiled the best 27 Plymell recipes and designed our very first cookbook.
It's only been printed twice, but is probably the design project I'm proudest of, and the most work-intensive mother's day present I've ever given.
Calling Upon Calliope (2017, 2018 & 2019)
Calling Upon Calliope is Denver School of the Arts' Literary and Art magazine, made up of art and writing by over a hundred of its students. Over the course of 2017, 2018 and 2019, I was promoted to editor of the magazine, which meant overseeing everything from the bureaucratic work to designing to the final production. However, I also remained a part of the design team during my time as editor. Featured here are the best of the designs I contributed to the books, including the very first spread I created.
These books are some of my most treasured possessions, as they are made entirely out my blood, sweat, and tears.
